At the outset the idea promotes activity. We get a burst of energy from starting something new. There is planning to do and stuff to get for it. We get excited telling people about it. It’s new and fresh and fun and for a while we feel great about it. It being anything. Any new thing is exciting in the beginning, but inevitably the newness wears off and it becomes same old. Same old same old is a whole new animal and often where we quit. But you really want to do this this time so what do you do?

There are two opposing emotions that drive the world. Love and fear. We are either driven by fear or by love. Fear can keep things going for a while, but living in fear is not living life. It is an emotion that is concerned with what will happen and says we have to get this done just in case. We have to do this. Some specific fear drives the “have to” part. It drives hard and consistently, but living in fear is living in a high state of stress. Living in a reaction state about things that may never happen isn’t doing something from your true self and it doesn’t deal with reality.

Love is as strong of a driver as fear, but love acts where fear reacts. Fear reacts to a perceived danger or situation, but love acts according to something desired. A much healthier situation for the long term and something needed to keep things going…
