Do It Enough, That It Becomes Your “Have To”

How do we succeed in our thing. Do it. Do it enough.

Do it enough that you can’t stop. Do it until it becomes a compulsion. Until the thought of stopping is unbearable. Do it enough that is becomes habit. Something you do without thought. Where you no longer have to make yourself pick it up. Where it’s as natural as eating and sleeping. Where everyone knows you do it and can’t remember why. It’s just your thing.

Do it enough that you become an expert. That the daily routine builds confidence. The days and years of practice create a craftsman. That you become the go to on your subject. That you can talk freely about it without looking stuff up. That people think of you when they want to learn more. Do it enough that you can start to teach others how to start doing it.

Do it enough that you have to move forward. That rings of growth become apparent. You can see a progression. You laugh at what you used to do, but are proud of the effort. That your next ideas are big. Really big! You can’t believe what you are ready for. You can’t believe you are the one taking this step. The step that you used to read about. That you used to look up to. Do it enough to get to that.

Do it enough that you forget why you started. That all you can remember is that it has always been a part of your life. That you…
