If you are looking for what characteristics make up a successful business person you might want to look at the life of Burger King Founder Jim McLamore. In his book, The Burger King: A Whopper of A Story on Life and Leadership, Jim talks about his early life, the characteristics that made him who he was, and the story that led up to the founding and development of a burger empire. In this article I hope to provide you with lessons on the characteristics of a successful businessman that you can use to develop business cases and to interject into your writing.

As we know each man and woman has a different story. Each entrepreneur has a different path. If we are to learn what goes into making someone a success, starting a successful business, or achieving their goals in life it helps to study those who achieved great things. From our study we can determine if patterns emerge, validate the writing of others, and use the information as a guide for our own personal development.

Jim McLamore considered these characteristics important to his success and the success of others:

· Passion and intensity.

· Focus on an overarching goal.

· Read books, considered education important.
