Bloggers, Why You Should Get To Know Your Keywords Before Worrying About Theirs
The two or three words or phrases that your blog post is focused on are called keywords. Keywords can appear in the title of the post, in the body, URL, and in the meta description. Any of us that know anything at all about blogging and online content marketing understand that people go online and search for things. They type in words to describe what they are looking for. The search engine picks up on the highest ranking articles and brings back search results. If a blog post and/or website is optimized it will check the SEO blocks and you will be more likely to rank high on the results.
Bloggers learn how to do keyword research as a way to understand what target audiences are looking for. This helps us understand what kind of content to create that people are already looking for. So if I have a blog for women I can do keyword research and learn what women are searching for and create content to meet their needs. I am not enough of a SME to explain these subjects in depth, I do understand what it is like to start a blog and get bombarded with topics that we understand are important, but we might not be ready for.
